Saw this a couple of nights ago, not saying it's a good film but I quite liked it.
Love the raw sounding guitar work through the film. One question, which old western was the story based on ? Was it one of Clint Eastwood's early films ?

Cheers

From memory it's a remake of a Kurosawa film.

Ah, this one - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yojimbo_%28film%29

I thought it may have been a remake of For a few dollars more / Fistful of dollars or something like that.

According to IMDB Kurosawa was credited as a writer and Ry Cooder provided the original score.

I want one of those M-1911s' that have a 100 round magazine and blow a man 12 feet through the air without having any recoil for the shooter smile

Its ok if you can take your brain out for an hour or so.

I think it's a great film biggrin Particularly love the bit where Christopher Walken shoots up the Mexican bar with a tommy gun.

Watched it once when it came out (on VHS) - enjoyed it for what it is.

Thought it was based upon the classic samurai movie, Yojimbo by Akira Kurosawa (and copied in the Clint Eastwood film - A Fistful of Dollars)?
