diablo sv alarm fob problem (now I've changed battery)
Discussion
The fob on diablo sv (1999 last pop up headlight model) has had a battery change.
The red lights were getting a bit dim,so opened it up and took a look.
Pretty standard looking cylinder shaped 2.5cm 23a 12v battery.
Straight forward enough to swap it for a new one I'm thinking.
Dont want to risk it going flat and immobilising the car somewhere far away from home.
Well it looks like I was bang wrong.
Wont disarm the immobiliser or unlock the doors. Can here a quiet clicking noise in the door lock - as though the fob is talking to the alarm system but not being successful.
Any fellow lambo owners / lambo techs had a similar experience?
All help greatfully appreciated.
best regards
Nick

I down loaded the engineers manual for the alarm, i reckon yours must be similar. its just a series of key turns and button pressing. Which type of alarm is it

standard med one
am guessing the key turns related to the number on the pin-card
what is the button pressing
cheers

what is the button pressing
I would think it re progams/learns the fob to the alarm unit
You might be able to close the doors after doing all this Nick

Hope your well mate

Nick if you need the info today i'd be very suprised if Carl Baker cant help you... He is an absolute Alarm guru (not only on TVR/Meta alarms) he does take Sunday calls

Hi Ianthat is the one that I saw in the instructions for the med 2000,so suspected my alarm was a different model.
Mine has 2 buttons - the top one being for opening/closing etc and the bottom one is a panic button.
Could be just a different fob,as the book that came with the car (all in italian!) is also for the med 2000 e.
Car was trailored off to Grimaldi engineering yesterday for service so he'll sort it.
I'd definitely like a spare though.
I'm getting on a bit and premature alzheimers is setting in.
I the last fortnight I've lost a bank card, camera, airline ticket, two lots of car insurance certificates and a dry cleaners ticket.doh.
