Servicing

My cars gonna be due its 36k/6 year service in a couple of months. Anyone know what this service involves and rough cost to expect? I used Chris Neils in cheshire last year but considering possibly Jetstream this time after seeing some good reviews via the search function.
Any thoughts?

Hi mate,

I believe I was one of Jetstreams first customers. Got to say they always impressed with the knowledge, care and sensible pricing. Even though my Noble has gone I will still be visiting Matt and Dave.

CN have serviced mine since I bought it ( and my previous 3 Esprits as well ); Expect to pay £750-£800 assuming nothing extra needs attention.

is there a lot more in this service than the previous one then? Service last year at CN's was less than £400

Yes - a major service is a full day. Say 7 hours labour, plus oil, plugs, filters etc. That's easily £750.

And if you stay with CN, you will be keeping the "Main Dealer Service History", which will preserve the value of your car. I stuck with a TVR Dealer with the servicing on my Griffith for that reason alone.

I seriously doubt a main dealer stamp alone will retain the value of a noble...

Bloody he'll £750 for a service , oil , filter and plugs cost less than £150 so £600 labour ??? Crap I'm going to start servicing Nobles :-) :-)

Can't see for the life of me why it should be that much, or even take a full day to be honest, even with all fluids changed!

Realy ???? Does a dealer stamp mean that much on a Noble ????

I'm with you mike recon I could do a full service including wash and polish in 4 hours ;-) ;-) ............ Although I would need 4 hours for the test drive !!!!!!

In all fairness, it would be pretty tricky not to!

as Dave works for Noble I guess he will know more than any main dealer lol

so a Jetstream stamp is worth more than any mail dealer imho.

my vote will always go with jetstream. They rebuilt my engine after i melted it for a very reasonable price. also done some other tinkering and dave and matt really know their stuff. unlike any main dealers they actually explain in painful detail whats wrong so you can find the root cause and rectify rather than just fixing the end result for it all to go wrong again in a few miles (bad experience with main dealer in the past and wont ever use them again!)

Jetstream all the way for me.

Has anyone got recent experience of Ray West at Thruxton?

he is a top guy in my opinion, knows a lot about nobles and tunes a few

He didn't make a good job of tuning mine for the previous owner, it was running daft boost like 1.5 bar and melted a few things near the turbo's and sheared various bolts, had huge cracks in the manifolds when i got it and didn't do the fuel pump wiring upgrade properly.

When i got it tested after i collected it the air fuel ratio was horrendously bad, the garage checking it said they were surprised it hadnt melted a piston!!

Speak to DeanoM12 (the orange one) All his work is done by Ray and he even has ray west tuning logos down the rear side of the car
