PAYG sim for Belarus? GO-SIM?
Discussion
I cast this request upon the whim of the mods.
I'm looking for a PAYG sim to use in Belarus. Current phones are orange but they don't allow payg use in belarus.
Quick look around the interwebby think suggests Go-SIM. Anyone had experience or suggest a better option?
Basically for emergency use. The OH is going to be doing some training for the Chernobyl children's charity in Gomel. Just want to have the option to contact in the event of any issues/flight alterations.

Never thought about that - although she will be busy in meetings/training people most of the day so I guess it depends on exactly where she is. On previous visits she seems to have been out in the sticks from the way she describes it.
Any idea what ID she would need - of course she doesnt have a bank account out there? What about international call costs from Belarus to the uk?

Well i'm not local, but i asked my friend from Belarus, and he told that rates on UK calls from Belarus operator varies from 0.2 to 0.35 pounds per minute. The best option is to buy 3G sim from "life
Worldwide" but if she don't have a 3G phone it is better to go for MTS or Velcom operators. The only thing she needs when buying SIM is her passport. She can bought it everywhere even in night shops.
