I bought this Rotary watch in 1967.

It has significant nostalgic value so it's one of my three keepers.

I'd really like to know the model, number, details etc ..can anyone help? Obviously from the sub dials it has a yachting timing countdown function.

Also, the mainspring is broken. I wish to get the watch repaired and back to fully working order including as much refurbishment as possible. Can anyone recommend a firm that could do the job?

I'll check later but I think it's a Landeron 17 movement (45 min subdial) used by Rotary, Lator and a number of others, probably early seventies/late sixties, relative of the Aquaspeed, but I'll check when near the PC. Very nice btw.

Nope, give up, except to say I meant Aquaplunge rather than Aquaspeed.
If you like I'll copy your request / pics on to some boards if you like?

No trouble. It has been submitted to the mechanical turk, I'll update if there's any news.

The feedback is direct from a very good source.

It can be repaired and the comment was that is a stunning piece and should be in good condition internally as it has re-set perfectly to the hour mark. Apparently movement of that age set a couple of seconds to or past the hour.

Feedback is that is can be repaired and they think it would have been made around the 1950's

I am protecting my source a little, but PM me I would be happy to pass contact details on.
