My spelling leaves something to be desired on the odd occasion (especially after a pint or two) however this just made me roar with laughter! (Not just the spelling but the "intellect" behind it!)

THIS JACKET WAS PURCHAS BY ME IN 1958 FROM A ARMY & NAVEY SHOP SO ITS BEEN WITH ME FOR 52 YEARS I BELIVE I WAS A RAF PILOT FLYING JACKET
I have some sympathy assuming this could be a very old, old timer. He can't even recall if he was a pilot flying jacket, bless him, times were hard, they'd use new recruits as flying jackets, I saw it on the History channel.

Normal now. Point it out and be flamed for being picky and elitist. "At leest it get's the point across so who care's".So what if an ebay listing has loads of spelling mistakes? It is not your listing, and it is his loss if they lose sales because of it.
If they were writing like this on a cv, they would not get the job.
Either way, it is simply not your place to "correct" anyone, if they do not ask for your help.
Would you like me to come round to your house, and point out everything that I think is wrong with it? Thought not...
in some ways, the problem with someone interfering where it is not wanted, and sticking their nose in where it is not needed and unimportant, is an even bigger problem that the crap spelling on these ebay ads imo.

Lots of folks don't spell properly - well, particularly my mates (age circa 19). While I admit I won't get every word I type correct, it's always worth spelling correctly as you never know what a future employer may research. If they see me typing, LOL ye i wz drunk lyk a twt lol fkn w

I think it's the rise of texting and myspace/facebook/beebo etc. Typing like a t
t seems to work on there, so people do it at work too. I've had people submit reports to me with full text speak in them - doesn't bode well.

So it's OK to be racist about Europeans, but you can't have a pop at someone who can't spell? FFS!
