Well it's been just over a month since my Scoob was shunted. It's a hatch and was hit on the near side rear pushing the body in to the rear tyre.

It was repaired 3 weeks ago but they are still waiting for the bumper brackets. Subaru parts must be hand made in Japan and shipped via slow boat.....
The bodyshop called and said the Advan tyres can only be sourced from Japan... silly

I have a capable loan Golf but i am really missing the A/B road capability of the scoob frown

Advan is a yokohama brand through which they market tyres and wheels.

I had Advan Neova AD07 on the rear of my MR2 last year, utterly awesome tyre. The AD08 is OEM on the Elise.

Ozone, the Advan Neovas will be available in the full range of sizes in April according to Yokohama UK, I spoke to them on friday. All the marketing gumph has been printed and is ready to go, they are just waiting for the go ahead from Japanese head office.

I had a similar issue recently. I broke my STI just before Christmas. After 4 weeks of being bullstted by the useles pricks at the body shop, I phoned them to ask where my car was, they tried to fob me off again. I phoned my insurance company who gave them a bking and I had my car back within the week. Don't let the body shop get away with bullstting you as to the completion date. It's probably done they are just using the time to get more money for "storage"

Probably a non starter, but you can get the Advans now from Nengun.

http://www.nengun.com/yokohama/advan-neova-ad08

They are hideously expensive though hehe

I know how you feel i've only just got mine back after a month without my Wagon after a neighbour ploughed into it outside my house hitting the rear quarter, wheel and damaging the suspension arms AND they still repaired it considering its a 97 import it cost £2300 repair plus my excess [400] and charge for the hire car so it cost my neighbours insurance a fortune.i was dead chuffed to get it back.......hope yours gets repaired soon matesmile

Mate I know that feeling, my 2002 impreza went into a body shop last year after some one reversed into it, only minor damage, bumper pain flaked off, and 2 broken bumper clips, it took 4 and half weeks to complete the job, due to the clips not being in stock at subaru UK
