Griff 500 History Search
Discussion
I know it's probably a long shot but I'm trying to build up a bit more of a history of my car. It's a red metallic Griff 500 and was registered on 15th Oct 1993 and has had, over it's life, the following reg numbers, L500 GED, PJB 625, L103 JOX, L900 TVR AND L898 HOP. Anyone on here ever own it or know anyone who might have ?? Any info would be gratefully received.

Christ - that poor Griffith will need therapy - all those identities - multiple personality disorder.
It's worse that that it used to be PINK!
First owner was primary school (et seq.) friend of my brother. I'm sure Jamesc can say more.
Graham (hence L500GED) had an S3 and then this Griff, unfortunatly the colour was not as good as imagined in the showroom. The car was then at Portsfield for a while. So yes a respray was required.
The pink griff in the link is my brother-in-laws (John H).
Can't wait to speak to him about the prostitue connection!

He tells me that there were three done in that colour, which I understand is a Porsche paint.
Phil I think that it has had that 500 motor changed at some point judging by the way that my 4.3 chim tends to blow you away?

Steve,
You're getting confused, the only time you pass me, is when I've stopped, due to my bigger brakes !!

Phil
I remember that Griff being for sale a couple of years ago. The owner told me he’d totalled it a 120 on the M40 but it was Ok cus he’d repaired the chassis with some old scaffolding polls and gaffer tape. The colour put me off buying it though, not a burgundy fan, had it been pink then I may have been interested.
Hope that helps
