There was an article on it in this months evo. Nice concept, but as all aero'd up sevens, they look terrible IMHO.

As an aside, EVO also ran a review a month or so ago of Westy's new VX powered car. I nearly fell of my chair laughing when they listed the price £28k. When I bought my megabird (factory built) it was £22k with nearly every track option ticked (big brakes, nitrons, ARBs, Carbon pack, lighter wheels etc.)

How the hell do they justify that price when you can get a Caterham for similar, and an Elise for that matter.

good find, I love the front but think the back is OTT. The old guy at RE has done a similar thing on an RX7 in the same colour by coveing the rear wheels, i didnt like that either. I bet i built mine first smile and mines turbo charged, he has one NA, so even with an extreme port job he is probably looking at 250 bhp...... with extreme body work like that you need an extreme engine!

Caterham will probably be a slower, lower spec model as is usually the case for Westfield -v- Cateringvan and Elsie is an Elsie . . . a car for the ladies who lunch wink

You can get some salt for that chip ya know. wink

Back on topic, I think it looks pretty good for an aero'd Seven. I still think trying to clean up the aerodynamics on any of them, you're much better off with a fully enveloping body (and preferably a closed top) if you're concerned about L/D.

Don't worry, I'm only kidding - I'm not one of the millitant Seven owners! As you've probably gathered there are some people who take that debate very seriously. smile

Love the front end on it, not sure about the lights. Rear end is dodgy for looks but if it actually works as an aero aid then I would put up with it.

Would a rotary (turbo or N/A) be capable of passing IVA tests?

Cant see what the problems would be with one form an RX-8... They pass emision tests from the factory.
