Citroen ZX engine swap 1.9d to 1.9TD
Discussion
After looking into a couple of things it would seem that there is a difference, I now need to know what they are........
There is a wire that is extra and a relay
The single wire is on the main loom that comes from the wing
The relay is between the wing and engine that appear to be most obvious.
I would appreciate any help on this thanks

What pump do you have fitted on the non TD and how many electro solenoids on the TD engine, should be 2
have they both got Bosch pumps? remember the Turbo set-up is non electrical based
i am a XUD old school fan boy so let me see if i can help

Should be only 2 solenoids on the pump with a single wire on each the multi plug that is just under the pump should be 3 terminals wide inside, also a plug near the fuel filter don't worry about that is for a crank position sensor that is used on Citroen/Peugeot only diagnostic equipment and does not affect what you are after, what year is the TD motor? the later cars have an immobilizer circuit built into the pump that's usually the Lucas pumped units 95on

If you want to retain your non/t loom you need to find the live + feed in your old loom where it plugs into your Lucas/1.9D pump when the ignition is switched on this as to go to the stop solenoid on the TD Bosch pump(the one above the injector pipe outlets facing up)on the right hand side, without this connection you will never get your TD lump to fire
you cannot retain the immobilizer function of your car on the earlier TD lump and cant use the Lucas pump either because the TD pump is calibrated different
you will sought this no problem
can you post up some pics of the connectors you have as most of this info you need is still pretty fresh in my nut

Tommy, they are both Bosch pumps in your pics
(no Lucas stuff there) plug the blue connector into the only black connector on your new engines pump and ignore that black lower one of the two,the purple relays i am not sure about be it 3 or 4,the power to the stop solenoid on the pump comes from that bigger cold start relay thats the one on the outside of your fusebox
if i was standing in front of this car it would not take so long
