Smart Alloy - Aberdeen reviews?

Hi, just looking for anybody that has used Colin Forbes of Smart Alloy Aberdeen? My GFs car had two nicks in her wheels when it was delivered, either done at the factory or at the dealerships and the dealer wants to use this guy for repair.

One should be an easy repair but the other one is a slit in the lacquer on a diamond cut type finish - maybe tricky.....


So, anyone had work done by Colin and can comment?

Never used him for wheels but i used to work with him, think its a mobile service so give him a call and get him to look at it, im sure he'll tell you if its fixable or if you should go back to the dealer/factory.

Colin's a top bloke, the job is decent, but it's never going to be as good a fixed facility and powercoating...i kerbed a while a wk before a car show, so had to do a quick fix...

The dealer said they are getting him to do it but I hadn't heard of him. If the finish isn't good they'll be asked to replace the wheels....

Sorry but if its a brand new car, I would be insisting on 2 new alloys and not accepting the car till I had that confirmed.

Hmm, was looking at my wheels at the weekend and thought my diamond cut rims are looking pretty knackered these days, two winters and zero maintenance. Will get a quote from this guy, cheers for the lead
