AT least you didnt manage it twice in one weekend...

Stuffed it in friday practice with a jammed throttle, and then on the sunday when an oil union broke.. now that was an expensive weekend. borrowed loads of bits to get it running and then stuffed them too!!!

Nearly ivor lack of cash has slowed the work but it is now at the final paint stage. All we have to do then is fit the new windscreen, get the nitrons rebuilt, new rear upper wishbone, new front lower wishbone, and put all the other bits taken off to repair back on ( exhaust, fuel tank, lights, seat and belts, and ecu ) then take it to snett and make sure everything is ok

Yep..although not exactly burnt out but It did catch fire twice.... Actually the blinking dry powder extinguishers did far more damage than the fire !! ( although it they stop the fire!!) The on board fire ex was about as useful chocolate tea pot

We made Rockingham 2 weeks later, but I dont think me, the old chap or jamie did anything other than work on the car or sleep in those 2 weeks, and Greg sprayed up all the new body work in double quick time too..

The fire on both occasions was caused by oil hitting the exhaust manifolds from smashed oil coolers on the friday and the broken oil line on the sunday..
