Now mods, I dont know how this one is going to go down, but if it doesn't offend or bother anyone or indeed yourselves, could we leave this in the lounge for just 24 hours as I'm interested in peoples opinions and experiences and will try to keep it as confidential as possible.

Right, bit of a weird one for ya

I have friends that have done LSD in the past and gave me their opinions on it, but not a huge amount of my friends have done it, just a small number and, as previously stated, I'm looking for peoples thoughts, opinions and where applicable, experiences of LSD/Acid

Obviously, you don't have to post or even reply, but if anyone IS willing to tell me about their experiences, please do so by email if you don't wish to post details on here

If noone wishes to share, not a problem and I understand completely

(prepares for a bit of a flaming!)

The once that my ex tried Acid, he freaked out and imagined he was getting chased by machete carrying taxi drivers.

Thankfully he'd stopped all that st by the time we met.

See that's what I'm interested in, the experience.

Out of the friends I have that have done LSD, they've all reported having a pleasant trip without incident, but the opposite has been reported when on mushrooms or Salvia

Sure he was on acid? Sounds like a normal Saturday night out in Dundee.

It's actually quite enjoyable if you take it in the right setting, with people you trust. If you try taking it out in a pub it's just going to end in tears. Physically harmless, however it can seriously muck with your brain if you take it wrong. Infinitely preferable to shrooms however, and I'd probably still dabble very occasionally if it wasn't as illegal.

Not saying I'd sit at home and stare at the wallpaper all day, but giving the old grey matter a break from conventional thought is more refreshing than you'd realise.

It does lead to some amusing happenings however. Watching a friend get stuck in a bus shelter in Fife, then complain his thumbs had swollen too much for him to skin up was an experience, especially when another friend decided the solution to every problem was to drink some water.

My thumbs are massive man - Drink some water dude they'll go down.
I need a piss - Drink some water dude.
My foot hurts - drink some water dude.
Dude, we're out of water - Drink some water dude.

All fairly non-sensical, yet hysterical to watch in between watching the pretty patterns on the floor tiles for half an hour.

I think the consensus is, if you can afford an LSD on the car, you should have one. Not heard about the Acid aconymn- Auto compression indicator dial??? Not sure its needed on the majority of cars

Sorry, but that made me chuckle!

I dont think I have the balls to try it myself, whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is open to interpretation

Are you sure he was on acid? he could have just visited Rotherham. They like driving you to secluded spots and robbing you blind there with their mates.

Old pal of mine had a profound trip where a painting on the wall started talking to him about his life while he just sat & listened. It was also his first. after that it was all pretty colours. A couple of colleages have had good experiences & one bad- it really does seem to be a very peer-related experience.

Everyone has told me to do it in a group of close friends that I really trust, but again....I doubt that I've got the nuts to try it paperbag

a chap I know tried it once and stood with both arms out and his forearms up at 90 degrees and started panicking that he was turning into a cactus.

I think everyone should try it at least once.

...but only under the care of someone you trust who has done it before, and only when in robust mental health.

LSD, at its best, lets you wander around backstage in your mind and have a look at the gaffer tape holding everything together.
