can you believe it!
having finally established that my only answer to the lost key was to have the unit taken out returned and to the manufacturer, now the car is about to be pulled to bits, meta have told their agent that they no longer offer the reprogramming service . so a complete new alarm is needed!
the moral is obvious do not loose your key, oh and certainly do not fit a meta alarm!
anyone any ideas?

I have had this problem, when I bought the cerbera I only had one fob and no card with the number on. After lots of messing around it came down to replacing the alarm. So I had to purchase a new alarm box just to get a card with the serial number on so that I could obtain a spare. Cost me £97.00 inc the VAT from a local car ignition distribitor.

BAD NEWS
Got the old alarm fob that does not activate the alarm as the small pressure pad on the circuit board has worn away!!
GOOD NEWS
I have a work around involving blue tack, a cable tie and a paper clip - honest, so can activate/de-activate alarm.
The previous owner gave me a new alarm fob together with the red code plaque and instructions on how to activate the new fob to respond to my car alarm.
Problem is I have followed what seem to be simple instructions, initially using the old fob, but cannot get my alarm to enter into the 'learn' mode. Apart from visiting dealer has anyone suffered similar probs or have any suggestions?
Thank you

If anyone has only 1 fob get a new one done ASAP. I contacted META, went to the local franchise and he said £100. Had a new one done at Harrogate Horseless Carriages - 50 quid. Bargain! Probably the first, and only, time a main dealer has been cheaper than somebody else.
(Only joking HHC! Next service due soon!)

Just like to say many thanks to Carl at CBI near petersfield for sorting a new key fob for my META even though i didnt have the red security card, and it only took an hour or so.
