England vs USA will be on at 8:30pm on the Saturday night... what are the chances of watching it near the circuit?

I didn't really check out the bars of Arnage last year- are they likely to be showing any football?

I won't going to see a good race and not watch men run around a field after a ball

Yup it is the Danes, though they're not too keen on people randomly coming in to their bar!

I'm interested though - want to know where we can go!

No right minded person would dream of going to Le Mans on a World/Euro Cup year if they didn't show the football - of course it'll be shown.

Despite being a bunch of surrender-eating cheese monkeys, the French actually quite like football (they're just not very good at it without blatant cheating).

Pretty much all the bars will be showing World Cup games, although it probably won't be like Euro 96 when they showed England v Scotland on a giant screen in Tribunes...

Odd - they've always been ok with us going in there for a cold beer / hotdog!

Us too - (we camp immediately opposite for the past 10 yrs!) and they're top blokes, I thought it best just to mention and not have 2000 PHers turn up wanting to watch an England match; the power of PistonHeads is often very underated smile

Ok, gotcha! biggrin
looking forward to it again - wondering what the guys in the doubledecker last year are going to turn up to this year!

Lets hope we actually progress in the football!
That'd be nice! Aston win, and England for the cup! - got to be worth a £5 bet - miracles do sometimes happen afteral!

Yup they were top guys too - had good fun on Expo last year, and will be there this year too. Please do come say hi! (we're in the cattle shed opposite the Dane's tent).

I think your £5 will be better spent on 1.5 cans of cold danish lager smile (though it will befun to watch the football and hear those Astons again!)

Tony

Yes same site. I hope the TL guys will give us the same part of the site as it helps to have some solid ground to park the motorhome on.
