Which Belt?

OK Mateys....another thread to help us out there to make a good decision...

With all the previous discussions over:

the merits of 4,5,6 point belts
and then the 'mine is wider than yours' competition (webbing that is!)
not to mention the 'oh my belt is rubbing my soft kissable neck!' problem
and finally 'I can't get my hand in between to adjust the length!' admission

Considering the cost of these things, which make/model in your opinion is:
The most practical for mainly road, but occassional track (if yer brave enough!)?
The least hassle during normal operation?
The more comfortable during longer journeys?
Adjustable without removing the seat (perhaps a bit over the top but you get my drift!)?
A good compromise?
If we go 3rd party how do we order to make sure they will fit?
..or is Factory option Best?

Factory option is good.

Sabelt UK already have the correct measurements for the Ultima.

I have Sparco, which are a bit long but can be cut down.

Purchased Ricco 4pt 3inch harnesses, local, helpful, great quality product and service.....well worth a look but no personal experience of them in use yet.

The factory ones work well. My only niggle with them is that they could be easier to adjust.

I have the Sabelt ones with the shoulder pads. Even so you can still get a rub on the neck but this is due to the belt mount positions rather than belt make. Would think the wider belts would be even worse.

Had 6 point Sabelt in the GTR and 4 point Willans (factory) in the Can-Am - preferred the Willans.

Hey Stig,

The 4 point Willans, was it 3 inch webbing? ..and did you have any probs with adjustment/seat interferance?
