MkII Focus advice...

Hi all,

Just looking for some advice please on a issues we seem to have on our MkII Focus.

My wife has a 2006 Focus Hatch, 1.4 16v engine ( not the most powerful lump in the world but safe efficent and reliable for what she needs)anyway.....

Recently when we drive it, On acceleration it seems to be slightly jerking and hesitant to pull away, Not that noticable but its there if that makes sense.....It has 60k miles with a full ford service history.

I was told by some people that the spark plugs may need changing......Anyone else offer any advice.

When was it last serviced and what was changed?

It was serviced last week, For some reason i never got the service sheet to say what was changed etc....As far as i am aware it was just the basic serive, Oil filter etc.

From what i have been told the spark plugs on new car now can last upwards of 100k miles.

Just been MOt'd as awell so cannot tbe anything to serious as it passed with flying colours with no advisories

best thing to do is just take it back if its been doing it since the service. Does sound like it could just be the spark plugs or if they were changed it could be the HT leads as ive found they can break when removed from the plugs.

Just had the plugs changed.....What a difference.
