Well following on from my dodgy neighbours antics before christmas........

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=10&h=&t=70924

He has now returned, he was absent from mid December to last Friday, returning only briefly to collect mail.
Anyway Saturday night I'm fiddling about in the garage when a bloke approches me and asks if I've seem my neighbour, so I tell him he appears to be back but surprisingly we don't have a great deal to do with him
Turns out this bloke is the father of a the girl who was 'living' there before christmas and he wants her back, they live in Peterborough which isn't exactly close and this girl is 14 But as she's run off and isn't being held against her will the police are telling the father they can't do a great deal about it surely this isn't right the police have told him that there is only one bed in the house, which must have pleased him and a 30ish bloke with a 14 year old is just wrong, whether she consents or not.
He left me his number to contact him if we see his daughter which I don't really have a problem doing, and from the way he was talking if he gets his hands on my neighbour it should make for entertaining viewing, but I just find it strange that the local Bib can't do anything about this

From reading the December thread - I guess the police did try to do something, but couldn't carry it through for some reason? Have you ever seen the girl?

Racegirls seen a girl in the house when she was in there regarding the PlayStation, I've seen a girl in his car on the drive and a girl was taken out the house when he was originally arrested, whether this is the same girl each time, or even the girl in question I couldn't say

This is a nasty one raceboy as very, very serious offences under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 and Child Abduction Act 84 raise their nasty head.

What to do?

If there is no possibility the bloke in the house is not her father, then:

Nothing and thereby possibly allow a child to be abused,OR

Pop down to the local Plodshop and have a word IN
CONFIDENCE with CID or a Child Protection Officer and express you concerns. You do not have to be involved or make any written statement. You may get assurance why BiB took no action previously.

On the basis of what is oft reported in the press, there may be a number of other courses open:

1) Report the possibility of Stanic rituals to Social Services.

2) Claim your neighbour is a teacher who has shouted at a child.

3) Report a case of Munchausen's Syndrome by Proxy (oops, that one doesn't work now!).

4) Report your neighbour for speeding.

I'm not trying to play down any possible danger to the alleged girl, or belittle suggestions made by the BiB here; but to point up how some things have stirred the SS (how apt?!) and BiB to action in the past.

Thing is you don't know if the girl is actually safer where she is now than back with the parents
Alright he seemed a concerned parent, but you don't know if he's an even fruityer fruit cake than my neighbour
