Sheffield - Liverpool & Leamington Spa - Liverpool.

Hmmmm.

A few of us are heading over to Liverpool.

Some from Sheffield and some from Leamington Spa.

However it would make sense for us to go in one car. But the routes don't exactly interact......

So is there a conveinient meeting place - probabaly on the route from LS to Liverpool where the Sheffield contingent can be picked up without going too far out of their way?

Or would both parties be better making their own way to Liverpool?

Birchwood services if your friends are driving, Warrington train station if their not. otherwise simply look at google maps and pick somewhere

Sorry - yeah both parties are driving.

So would need somewhere to leave one car - probabaly for about 6 / 7 hours.

Was looking at service stations along the m6 - but parking look pricey and not ideal.

You see the problem here with your oh so dry and amusing question is that it doesn't have that many possible answers to it - infact I can think of only two plausable ones.

My question on the other hand has hundreds of possible answers.

And unlike you who has presumably been pissing at least 3 times a day for - i'd guess at over 25 years, I have not driven to Liverpool via a meeting place on the way that intersects with the same journey from Lemmington Spa, quite as many times.

Hence my request for advice.

Holmes Chapel train station as it's free parking. Holmes Chapel is just off J18 of the M6.

From Sheff, go via Baslow/Ashford/Brierlow Bar, Harpur Hill/Bosley/Congleton straight through to Holmes Chap and station is on your right as you enter the village. Takes around 1 1/4hrs.
From LS, exit M6 J18 and turn right to H/C. At mini roundabouts turn right. At traffic lights turn left. Station is on your left the other side of the bridge after the Swan pub.

Done.
