Nice little touch I just did.

I like it, makes it bespoke. looks like they are suppose to be there cool

The original is on the right, what I did is on the left

Wired these up of a switched live from the key so are on all the time 'day lights' if you like

That doesn't look half bad smile
How come the 2nd ring doesn't light up with the first one?

The smaller light (dipped beam) is basically a dummy bezel I made just to match the main bezel. I already had the tooling made to make the PCBs on the larger bezel so was not a problem however if enough people liked the idea of both I could get a smaller one done.

Special bulbs in the headlamps for the indicator, if I had my way I would have chromatics but I do not know anyone who does them for that type,

Dont know if Rick does?

That is an impressive modification.
Like you say it looks as if it were made that way.

It would be possible to do not sure how it would look at night scratchchin wether or not the dip beam would obscure the LED ring flashing?

We took the live from the fuse panel in the passenger footwell Rick told me there was plenty of ignition switched lives under there and he was quite correct, we obviously added a fuse and relay into the circuit for safety.

Removing the headlamp is a bit of a chore and seperating the lamp assembly itself is not difficult a few plastic clips and silicone seal in between, carefully ran a knife around the edge and seperated the 2 parts.

Cost for all 4 bezels I would estimate around the £1000 mark not what I would call cheap but that is the price you have to pay for bespoke made stuff on top of that would be fitting

Ah good point on the indicator, but £1000 for the bezels TBh i know you could make and sell them for half that price there's not that much in the machining process or even if you used a CNC lathe.

Yes I could get the price down lower if I produced a worth while quantity, probably about 25 sets but the outlay to produce those would be large and to make the ones you saw in the pics I did on a manual Colchester lathe and a manual mill with a rotary table. The setting up time on just 4 is significant let alone the material cost, 6" diameter billet aluminium is not cheap.

I might produce a couple of sets just to get a better idea of time involved and assess the price. The £1000 was a guesstimate
