Another telephone question...

I have two members of staff who travel into work each day purely to use the landline at the office for outbound calls.

I have found that if a local number does not come up on a customer's mobile, they will rarely answer.

I would like for these employees to be able to make their calls from home as the travelling situation is a little silly and limits the effectiveness of the business as once they have left the premises, they can no longer make the calls.

Is there any way at all for a local number to pop up on the customer's mobiles, even if they are being called off a staff mobile? Or even an 0800 at a push?

Both employees live in rented accommodation and aren't planning on staying there long enough to make a fixed landline worthwhile; even then, the number would have to be changed when they both move in the summer.


This is causing me a headache; any advice most welcome.

Yep, quite a simple solution.

It's basically a 'display' number which overlays the number dialling from. Also known as Number Translation Services
