I've kinda got my heart set on a Sinn 356 Flieger UTC

However, before I take the plunge, I'd like to see other similar watches. Its important that it has a second time/UTC/GMT function. Brushed steel (not a fan of shiney metal)

Budget upto £1800 ish

Does it also need to be a chrono? Not many dual timezone chronos about that I can think of. IWC Spitfire UTC is probably out of budget, even used. Omega might do one?

Edited to add Sinn 103 UTC? One for sale on tz-uk for exactly half your budget.

Have a look at Glycine Airman range and also the Fortis GMT range. I have a Steinhart Ocean 1 GMT with a black bezel and that is a fabulous piece of kit for not a lot of dosh -

Both Glycine and Fortis ranges can be seen at www.jurawatches.co.uk and the Steinhart at www.steinhart-watches.de

That steinhart is nice, how are they to deal with, did you buy direct?

Yeah, you can only buy direct and their customer service is top notch. Would highly recommend them - have had 3 Steinhart watches and in the process of developing a limited edition over on WUS - and there are a good range of pilots and divers watches to choose from.

That particular model is 390 Euros plus delivery - making it 425 Euros. They use courier services, so I personally don't mind that little bit extra

I think it should be a forum rule that any watch mentioned should have a picture attached. I've never really looked at Steinhart but that looks good. How's the size?

Are you after both features (chrono+24hr)?

- The 356 is a beauty, certainly that or a 756 UTC without bezel, (don't know if the Diapal one comes like this?).

I have a Steinhart Ocean One also and it really is a lovely bit of kit for the money. Has become my every day wearer so that I can keep my speedie in top condition!

Really easy company to deal with as well, can't reccomend them enough.

As someone mentioned Fortis, thought i'd have a look. I found this, B-42 Flieger GMT.

Down side, is model (and colourings) is no longer available now only the white face is and it's out of my budget frown

That is a fantastic looking watch! I had a good browse to find one with a black dial, but nothing ... It might be worth checking the second hand market (www.elitedealseeker.com) every now and again to see what pops up!

A B-42 Chronograph GMT came up for sale 4 weeks ago and was bought by a TZer - Perhaps message him and see if he is bored of it yet? hehehttp://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t...

Does it have to be a chronograph?

Thanks! Good find. I'm not a member on TZ and it won't let me register frown

Yeh I would prefer a chrono watch.

I'm still hunting and looking to find other makes!
