I'm not sure if it's been done before (I presume it has), but what do people think of a PH trackday sometime?

People like Paul Wilson @ 100% bikes offer group booking discounts and their days are usually pretty well run.

Open to discussion..........

I think I've seen AJ on a few 100% days before?

100% bikes are IMO the bike equalivalent to book a trac, very well organised but laid back I'd say if there's enough interest it might be something Ted considers.

I'm interested, I may take both bikes or just the CRF in supermoto trim.....I better get myself on a 'How to back it in' course before hand...

Very nicely done!
Are you hard on the front brake when you start to turn to get it to start sliding like that? Any tips?

on the front brakes AND the throttle!! 50% clutch slip and rear brake. you dont want the rear to lock, as this will reduce control; just go SLOWER than the front wheel... then use some pedal weight to push the rear out.

its a bit hard to describe in print, more of a 'feel' thing.

Sorry never done any with 100%, i mainly go on Focused Event Track days, no particular reason really.

Sounds a good idea anyway definatly up for it. Any dates / tracks in mind?

How do you fancy silverstone GP? Very fast sweeping track, apart from the nadgery chicane coming onto the start/finish. Donno's always a favourite and has decent pits.

What do people think? Oulton is good, but a pain in the backside to get to from London. Mallory is dull. Snett isn't too flowing, but is more of an 'who can brake the latest type' track... IMHO of course.

how about late april - may need the tyre warmers though! (and a scott johnny suit) - PS these are not fetish wear - but check out the scott leathers website and you may disagree. Stops things flapping about in the rain. A tad kinky perhaps....

100% Bikes normally do a couple of really good all weekend events at Pembrey each year, I know its the arse end of nowhere but its a bloody good track and the Saturday night out in "town" normally involves the un suspecting getting molested by the local inbreds desperate for some new DNA to be injected into the gene pool

Stooz, thanks.
This is my #1 thing to learn on the track this year. I've been able to do it on Rennsports in the damp at Snetterton and on a couple of occasions in the dry, but it's always been by accident going into corners too fast and hanging onto the brakes to reduce my speed but I'm not at all in control. You slide looks so well controlled and effortless!

I'll keep working at it this season. I think I'm nearly there. It looks so damn good

Fergus

Silverstone GP would be fantastic, never done the GP curcuit before. Its always been pi$$ing with rain when i've done the club curcuit!

Donnington would be good as well, as i've not done that one at all (wasnt on the BEMSEE calender when i raced). Am easy on which one, if not both!

I'm just booking brands for the 17th March....yeeeeeee har!!! Can't wait, let battle comence!

AJ,

If you look on www.100pc.co.uk, they've got a silverstone GP date on a sat for something like £215 (from memory - can't be bothered to look). I've booked a place in the fast group already....

Back to you! Who are you doing the brands day with? Not sure I'll have the bike resprayed by then.

Fergus,

Sounds good, didnt follow the link but may try later, what was the date? Have to slow the spending spree at the moment, in the process of booking a skiing hols, have booked a four day track hols in Val de Vienne and spent a small fortune at Ally Pally!!

Have booked with Focused Events for Brands, love the curcuit.

Sat 22May - £229. Are you going to Val de Vienne with Bryne-up? If so, see if you can beat John Harrison (small bald manc bloke) - he's quite rapid & very smooth....

Let me know.
PS Austria has mental snow at the moment!
