brake light switch

[The AJP Griff]

Hi all,does anyone know what car the brake light switch is off please? I have an MOT tomorrow and just checking the car over i've found the switch is knackered.I dont have time to order one from a specialist so i'd like to get one from the local motorfactor.Cheers,Mike

Not sure what TVR used but always found the Ford brake light switches very universal and readily available they usually come with 2 thin nuts attached for adjustment and have 2 male lucar terminations(same as the Tiv from memory) early eighties Honda cars(civics,prelude,accord etc)are very universal too with 2 Lucars

I had a good look around for one last year and gave up. I ended up going to Clever Trevor and spent a fortune.

Looking at that image the Ford one should be perfect

The original is a Ford Fiesta mk3.

But a classic shape Subaru Impreza switch is a much better bet - the Ford one is plastic and the Subaru one is brass and much better quality.
