New Super Mario Bros for Wii - freezing up in multiplayer...

this is driving us MAD, MAD, MAD.. when playing and another player takes a hit or dies, other players experience a nano second freeze. Annoying thing is it is enough to spoil any jumps/tricks for other players leading to their untimely death too...
Does anyone else get this or do I need to do some technobable stuff to my Wii or have I got a duff disc???

my 1st copy did that!! i took it back to GAME shop and got them to replace it...

1st thing to try is cleaning the disc & wii's lens with one of those cd's with fluffy bits on.
