GAZ shocks question

I hear about Nitron shocks needing rebuilds every 2 years or so, what are the recommended times for Gaz shocks, if at all?

Mine have been on the car for 4 years, would i notice any difference getting them rebuilt or serviced, and if i did how much would it roughly cost?

I have emailed Ab Shocks but have yet to receive a reply

I'd contact GAZ directly and expect them to be £30+ a corner. I guess the mileage covered and usage in those four years will be the most important factor and not just the time they've been sat between the springs.

Just rebuilt the rear Nitron's on the Griff after nearly 5 years and I think it was the spring giving way and not the damper. Upgraded the springs now. Car is a daily driver so must have done 40k in all weathers.

Where did you get the springs from FFG, and when you say 'upgraded' what do you mean?

Springs from Nitron with the rebuild of the damper. Eibach springs, 325 on the rear from memory (but can't remember as its been ages since had them done and still not fitted them yet)

Had some Gaz fitted just before Christmas and was told a rebuild might be good in about 5 years. Although I suppose it may depend on miles driven and wet/dry ratio's?
