Can anyone reccomend some good websites for searching for rental property from private landlords (not agencies) in London?

From experience, in the first six months to a year of renting I would always go through an agency. If things go wrong, they will work on your half to get them sorted. In this time, it will give you time to assess how efficient and reasonable the landlord is, and whether you get to strike up a freindly relationship with them. Then you can agree to go private and exclude the agency, comfortable in the knowledge that the landlord is ok.

That's a valid point. I'm just trying to find some cheaper places/get more for my money.
