Understandable as it did backfire somewhat.

Underestimated PH culture I think. Or assumed it would be like other fora - which it most certainly is not.

Some of these attention seeking threads turn out to be from a genuine, but naive, young poster who, once the shock has worn off, come back and contribute. Others simply get scared off completely.

Its the way of things.

I am amused by this perception.

While PH can certainly dish a little scorn on the odd poor deluded fool, and has been impressive in action in the past, it's really a pretty benevolent place all in all.

It's not anonymous or remotely close to it.
