Hi All, Hope I can get some help here, Yesterday my old screen decided to stop working so today I got a 23" HP Full HD LCD monitor.

It states that I need to voew at 1920 x 1080 @ 60 HZ but I have gone into the display settings on my PC and the biggest I can get is 1440 x 900, I have only been using the pc for about 15 mins and already im going cross eyed.

Anything I can do ?

You can buy a new video card that displays 1920 x 1080 @ 60 HZ

Or make sure your drivers are up to date (for both monitor and video card).

The make and model of your monitor are written on the back, google for driver.

Follow this path to find your graphics card and google for driver:
Start
Control Panel
System
Device Manager
Display Adaptors

The best way is to go to the relevant manufacturer's web sites and see if there are drivers available (normally in the "Support" or "Downloads" section of their site).

Then, pick the latest and run it (hoping that it isn't going to cause any problems).

It may also be worth googling for your make of graphics card and checking it actually supports 1920 x 1080

(although tbh it would have to be a pretty old card not to)

OK i have loaded the new screen driver from the disk and updated driver for the card and still no joy, for a while I did get settings of 1920 x 1440 but that now seems to have gone and it wasnt the correct setting anyway, anything else i can try ?
