Any opinions welcomed..

http://finance.autoexposure.co.uk/drilldown.cfm?Ac...

It has front/rear parking sensors, half leather,FSH, 123k, presume motorway miles
2006 car, 1 previous owner. Auto box.

Was looking at 520d M, but price not too bad on this, getting it below 12995 ask price.

What's the difference between the manual and automatic. Mpg real world etc.

Anything to look out on the Automatic?? Never owned one before.

Anyone had any dealings with Boss Performance also??

Cheers

Graham

wow thats a lot of miles for an almost 4 year old car. how much is it priced at as the ad does not have a price? woul dyou ever be looking to sell it when you are done? i expect it would be very hard to shift with miles like that.

It is priced at 12995, been offered for 12k.

I would probably keep for 4/5 years, only do 4/5k a year so it would bring down the average mileage 8 years 140k. 18k a year isn't too much for a motorway cruiser like this surely?

Try an auto before committing if you are unsure. Personally I think it suits the torque of the diesel engines and 'fits' with large saloons such as an E60.

I love the 30sd engine so if it was me I'd be looking for something like:

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1451206.htm

Potentially available for a little more money and being the 535d it will have a much better specification i.e. full leather versus half leather on the advert you posted.

That said, this advert does not include mileage and the running costs would be higher than the 525d although I wouldn't have thought by al that much.

Good luck with it...

Yeah that's nice but 2 years older.

I also think I can get them under 11k so that would be 3k more.

SHould probably just buy a base 520d SE for 10k and be done with it!!!

Fair point - I wouldn't worry too much about a 2004 versus 2006 car if it was me - I would be more concerned with getting the right car/spec/miles etc. If you keep it a few years then it'll be the difference between say a 10 year old car or an 8 year old car i.e. not a lot!!

You could get a 2004 545i for that sort of money but half the miles imho.
