Is this a good jack for a TVR? i.e. is it low enough to get underneath a Griff? If so which model is it and where do I get one?

Machine Mart advertises an aluminium low entry height 1.25 tonne low entry jack which they claim is suitable for sports cars, etc. it is about £94. I've not got one but often wondered about one so could be worth a look.

I had one of those Clarke lightweight trolleys. The seals went (after the warranty expired of course). I did inquire with thme if it was possible to repair but they said it would cost as much as a new one.

In the end I bought a SEALEY 2500LE Trolley Jack Yankee 2.5tonne Low entry for about £90 of ebay. Heavier but much stronger. Only downside is the lift rate is not as fast.

I have one of these, if anyone else has for gods sake check the bolts are all still tight. The roller on the front practically fell off last weekend and when I check roughly 1/3 of the 20 or so bolts weren't even pinched and one other was already a good way out.

Needless to say, they are all loctite'd in now.

I know what you mean about jack, drop onto stand, jack with block, drop onto stand, jack with bigger block etc etc.

I'll look out for the chassis twisting when I drop the Griff off the stands at the weekend. If it does that too its curtains for it
