I'm looking for a device which, to be honest I don't even know if exists or not!

I want to be able to turn on/off a power supply using a telephone, or internet connection.

I have an office, which is not heated, so have to manually switch on heaters which isn't a problem, the place heats up within half hour - ideally though, if I could phone a device or instruct a device via internet to switch on the power to the electric heaters an hour or so before I go to the office, that would be ideal!

Any ideas?

A timer plug would be the easiest way if you can find one in rating to work with the heater.

However there are all manner of SMS/Internet powered options available.

I go to the office at different times every day, no regular times which is why I don't want a timer!

That, if my understanding of it looks like it should work.

Help me out though, cos I'm dumb when it comes to 'puters.

1. Plug this into the tinternet (I have no wireless in the office, I have to plug in my laptop.

2. Plug the heater into this wizardry

3. register on their website

4. I can switch stuff on and off from anywhere with an internet connection (Iphone, etc?)

Is that right?

The other options are faaaaar too expensive for what I want them for, but thanks for the suggestions
