WTD: Windows Server, Tomcat, Java & SQL Server Engineer
Discussion
Hi all. We have just won some business from an existing client which is slightly outside our normal skill set so we need a server guy to help us out.
We have to deploy a new search engine called iSAC 6+ to a dedicated search box which will crawl a Neighbourhood Watch site we have developed for South Yorkshire Police: http://www.synwa.com. A demo of the search engine is here: http://easyinnova.udg.edu/greenwich/. The iSAC 6+ stuff will be installed on a MS Windows 2008 machine using Apache Tomcat 5.5, Java, HTML, CSS and MS SQL Server 2008.
We are looking for someone to:
- Attend a two day training course in Girona
- Install the system, including Apache Tomcat, Java & HTML pages
- Skin and customise the installation to match the existing site using compliant HTML & CSS
- Assist in the integration between the Neighbourhood Watch sites and the search engine
- Support us in gaining customer acceptance
- Support the system on a ad-hoc basis going forward
I expect this to be about 2-ish weeks worth of work in total, spread over a few months.
The dates for the training have already been set and you would need to be available on the following days:
Wednesday 24th February Training at Girona University
Thursday 25th February Training at Girona University
We can sort out flights for you and would be:
Tuesday 23rd February 10:00 depart for Girona
Friday 26th February return home, arrive at 16.35
We are a virtual company so we don't care where you are. You will need your own phone, laptop and fast internet connection to do the work remotely + get your self to and from the airport. We will pay all expenses including flights, hotels, meals and even reasonable quantities of beer & tapas!
Drop me an email with your CV and a summary of similar experience together with your day rate to richard dot thurbin at cloudamber dot com and I will get back to you shortly. Don't forget to include your phone number!
Any questions please ask.
