Following on from the recent threads regarding ramps on a budget . Snarfy and aitkindrum using standard builders materials ie wood, nails and breeze blocks, constructed a set of deluxe ramps. This raised the car sufficiently to inspect the sparkly, clean, unrusty chassis 'NOT' of 4 year old Griff. Couple of piccies enclosed...
Car has been yearly waxoyled, kept in dehumidified garage and not daily used especially when theres salt on the road. Surprising how crap that powder coating really is. Note luxury 4 seater used for test purposes. Snarfy's will be up next ... ulp......and its 5 yrs old.......

Good bit of improvisation, but bloody hell, that must have been a bit nerve wracking driving up to that height on those! One slip and... 'oops'!

JAYSUS!
That must have bene a bit scary. Bloody good idea though. You should sell em when you are done.

I managed to make my old XR3 fall of the ramps because when I reveresed out I forgot that I had left the wheels chucked. One gained instant traction and shot the ramp into the front wall of the garage leaving the car on one ramp and the car roof a gnats todgers width from the garage wall.
And my heart lost about 5 years too!

Im sure I read in the S forum that they usually make up a tool for getting to the top surface of the chassis.

There are a lot of chassis care experienced people in the S forums.
