Still it will not save Subaru's UK sales...

I have had 7 Impreza's but the brand is now lost IMHO.

The dealers have all gone AWOL too.

Agree with your statement about the Subaru brand loyalty, it used to go hand in hand with many owners. Defections to Mitsubishi and other emerging marques (love what Vauxhall are doing at the moment), are becoming commonplace. I wonder if this is a one-last-gasp attempt to persuade buyers that there's life in the old dog yet. If so, why on earth didn't they employ this kind of partnership towards technology when they were developing the current Impreza variants.

I think the 2.5 engine does already have Cosworth involvement.

Shame the involvement didn't make it an 'involving' drive. Spoke to a guy at KT Greens in Leeds last year and he said he was selling more STIs than standard models - says it all. If Ford can do it with the Focus...
