Where do you guys get your furniture from for rented properties? I need to get a double bed and possibly a single bed as well and wanted to know where the best value for money is?

Any help appreciated smile

Ikea?
Nah. Well ok some of them. Argos also features.

For beds there is a local place that sells flat pack metal frames. £15 for a single, £40 for a double I think it was (a few yers ago now). Thats the kind of place you want IMO. A local guy selling stuff that'll take a bit of abuse but's cheap so you don't care about throwing it away in 3 years.

Whilst I rent completely unfurnished, do remember that beds should be covered by fire resistance/regulations, and therefore labelled to that effect

If you can rent unfurnished I would if I was you.

IMO : Most tenants (85% of tenants) have their own furniture and so it then becomes a pain to store the original furniture.

Also why would you want the hassle of more things to repair if they break ?

Im only guessing here but if you could rent £500 per month unfurnished compared to say £530 furnished is it worth the £30 a month once the agency have taken there cut+VAT and considering the original outlay.

Apart from white goods, all my places are unfurnished

It's just not worth the hassle
