Any exceptionally unfit MTB or road riders inS/East & Anglia

I am what is known in the trade as a fat, VERY unfit 34 year old ex-MTBer. Having not ridden for about 7 years now and not having seen the inside of a gym for about 5 years.
I desperatley would like to get back into the sport but find it hard to motivate myself, as such are there any people in a similar situation that live around or nearish to St Neots, Cambs (Bedford, Hunts, Cambridge etc) that fancy some weekend rides out? It'd be a good way for me to meet a few new mates as well as try and get fit once again....
However, I'm more than happy to wait a couple of weeks for the freezing weather to ease off a little...

How far is it from yours to Thetford? A few of us go there on weekends and could be fitter!

Thetford would probably be a good 50miles from there, I need to get over there soon, not been out for a while!

Chicksands isn't too far, we go over there occasionally!

Also unfit.
