The Sunday Times last week listed their top 10 sporting movies of all time. They went for;

1. Hoosiers
2. Raging Bull
3. The Hustler
4. Bull Durham
5. Caddyshack
6. The Natural
7. Chariots of Fire
8. The Wrestler
9. Rocky
10. The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner

Some good movies. This week I would go for;

1. This Sporting Life
2. Remember The Titans
3. Chariots of Fire
4. Any Given Sunday
5. When We Were Kings
6. We Are Marshall
7. Hoosiers
8. The Natural
9. Cool Runnings
10. Tin Cup or The Longest Yard (for some comedy)

Any classics missed?

yes Neither are especially great stories (IMO) but the racing action, especially in GP, is excellent.

Agreed - they wouldn't be on the list for quality of the plot..

The Vinnie Jones movie? It's really just a poor soccer based remake of The Longest Yard. I like the original Burt Reynolds offering too much. Great Citroen SM chase at the start too. biggrin

The Replacements. It's daft, it's cheesy, but it is highly entertaining and has some great lines.

It is the film you are thinking of correct, the Hanson brothers 3 of the bigest goons of the game. they have since appeared in the second and third encarnations where their age really shows!
