I know it's only qualifying, but Andy really nailed Thomas to the tree :-). And look at those empty stands!

Out of interest,if all the tune ups you have are for the quarter, and you are running 1000 feet would you use these and just lift earlier in the run or would you need to find a complete new set up ?

From talking with Andy and the Anderson's in finland they are still tuning them the same as the last 300 ft or so your just "sitting and waiting"

however I'm sure some one with more knowldge will be along shortly to fill you in on all the details

Looking at the footage of both AC and Terry's incident. I thought NHRA had mandated automatic engine shutoff and chute releasd systems. Should these not have deployed?

Good point Jon - I viewed on a PC without speakers so cannot comment on the engine but the video of Terry's run pointedly looked at the 'chute pack after the car came to a stop and they clearly had not deployed...
