Win7 - Make clock display day of the year ?

Is there a way to get the clock to disply the day of the year?

ie:- Today [12 Feb ] is day 43.

Why would you want that?
Its not really a normal request now is it?
I would expect it is not possible without programming.

Found the answer:

Start here

Next, go into the Clock, language and region setting in the control panel and click "change the date, time or number format" link.

Click additional settings and then the date tab.

You can then specify a short date format and if you put in "ddd', 'dd/MM/yyyy" without the outer quotes and click apply then the 3 letter day will appear in the taskbar like this:

not sure it will do what you want.
You can use this though http://www.bacs.co.uk/bacs/banksbusinessesdocument...
shows the day of the year in the right of each cell.

Thanks for your help chaps.

I'm doing a 365 Project [ take & post a Flickr pic every day for the whole year ]

So by having the day of the year showing in the clock area saves time when naming the picture.

ie:- Today's pic will be named 45/365 - I hope to get it up there shortly.

google - flickr rally pix

Should get you there.

I think what you're after is the 'julian day' or 'Ordinal date'.

I think this will add a widget to the sidebar that has the 'Ordinal date'.
