FIESTA MK2 XR2

WOW. Just wow. Thanks for posting those.
That really does look stunning. You just don't see them in that condition anymore.
Hell, I can't even remember the last time I saw a duffer on the road, let alone one as nice as yours.
What's its story? Have you owned it long? Is it in daily use or do you take it to shows etc?
I had an F '89 in Tasman Blue which I bought at 18 months old(the car, not me
). It was the longest I've ever kept any car and I still wish I'd never sold it to this day
Full Ford SH right up to when I px'd it @ 130k. At the time I thought I was "trading up". 1600si Fiesta. Meh.
How much are you selling it to me for ?

I have had her for nearly two years, travelled all the way from the south west of Scotland to Selby to buy her.Looked at loads before i bought this one,she has only one tiny piece of welding at the rear and i have just had the rear arches replaced/repaired and a new bonnet fitted.
She has done 78000 miles but cant verify that as tottaly genuine but i was more interested in the way the car drove handled etc than reams of paperwork. The interior is in mint condition,no saggy seats, torn carpets etc even has the origional ford mats front and rear and ford radio cassette. She only comes out in the dry nice days but she creates quite a bit of interest usually at petrol stations and traffic lights. She may be coming up for sale as my mate has offered me his 4 owner 42000 mile mk2 escort 1600 sport,we are at the talking about money stage but i am very interested as his escort is concours or as near as makes no difference.I also have a Focus ST and a Honda Accord es gt which is the wifes motor.
My Mum had one of these, and used it to commute from London, to Carrbridge. (Near Inverness!)
She sold it with 135k on it running beautifully.
It is lovely to see one in that condition. Very, very nice.
A few years ago, I went to see StephenJJ's xr2. It was up for sale for (IIRC) £1400, and was in similar condition to yours. I still regret not going for it...
Is it just me, or are the '80s hatches improving with age? That has so much more appeal to me than a modern hot hatch.
