Have just fitted a new freeview box to the tv as the old one blew up and took the mast head amplifier and its power supply out too.

No there seems to be a slight lag on the speech compared to the picture?

Any ideas gratefully received.

There's often a setting in the setup menu so that you can fix this.

Interestingly I had the same problem earlier with my Sky box - in this case it was under "optical output delay" within the sound settings. If you see something similar it might be that.

It all depends on the gear you have,

What TV have you got?
What Freeview box have you got?
Are you using the sound from the TV speakers or do you have a surround system?

Sometimes its just a crappy Freeview box causing the problem unless you have a more complex setup in wich case there may be menu options to change (as previously stated).

Personally I havent come across a freeview box that actually works properly yet.

New one is a Grundig box--brand new . As I said in the op it was alright before the blow up.
