e36 playing silly buggers- starter motor advice please..
Discussion
Morning guys.. Hope Ãou can help me out.. Feb is looking like its going to be an expensive month..
My 944 has just gone into garage for a new head gasket ( after 12 miles of ownership- little sod)
Anyhoo, thought I could rely on my e36 vert, but I got in it last night to drop my bro off and it wouldn't start.. Longwinded into but basically the battery is good, and it was just making a clicking noise so guessing starter motor..
When a starter motot goes does it just go immediatly or can you tell its wearing out so to speak?
It started fine on friday? But then completly dead last night???
In case its any use the sensor wire on the rear drivers side brake has popped out, and I was going to get the wheel off and sort that but would have thought it would have caused this?
Thanks in advance oh wise ones, oh and what sort of cost would I be looking at to get a new starter motor installed?
