I have just has a quote from Tissot for servicing my quartz T Sport Chrono PRS200. Its taken them 6 weeks to come up with a quote.

The watch isn 5 years old and has been worn for about a year. It had a free service whilst still under warranty at 2 years old.

The price quoted seems high at £125 (I can buy a new one for £250) The price includes a £30 item for waterproofing kit.

I think the price is high, what do you guys think? I do want to use the watch for swimming and diving.

Is the service necessary? You can get it pressure tested by an independent for about £20 including a change of battery.

Its not running but I think that's just a flat battery. It has sat unused for over 3 years as I tend to wear my Vintage Omega as my daily watch

Well, if it were my watch, I'd just take it to a local place and get it done cheaply. If it was seriously inaccurate then I'd get it serviced (what normal people call getting it fixed).
