Persuaded the wife to have a nice weekend away in Geneva .

I will be breaking it to her shortly that - funnily enough the dates coincide with the Geneva motor show . biggrin

Has anybody been before is it any good ? Will a single 2 hour visit be enough?

Hartley mate, 2 hours will just about get you a coffe and look around 1 hall. There is so much to see and covers a huge area. If your missus isn't into cars suggest you let her shop in downtown Geneva, she can max her/your credit card with all the lovely designer watch and jewellery shops, whilst you do the same over automotive (and a few female) eye candy.

Cheers,
Ian

Thanks - sounds like it could be expensive! Any recommended hotels in the centre?

Just about every hotel in Geneva and large radius around tend to get booked out with staff and guests of the show. Plus the hotels tend to increase their room rates due to demand. Laterooms is worth a look. Also the good old GBP £ is not as strong against Swiss franc (or most other currency) as used to be, so everthing is more expensive. But it is worth it.

Cheers,
Ian

You'll need longer than 2 hours. I have always enjoyed it (used to live along the lake from Geneva). Make sure you take some Porsche keys with you and they will let you up to their hospitality where you can enjoy some nice nibbles and lots of champers/beer...always worth it. Ferrari and Aston do usually have nice hospitality areas that are worth a visit so tap a couple of dealers up for a pass before you go. My wife always enjoyed here time in the hospitality.
