How tall are you and what do you drive?

Evening, had huge problems in the past being too tall for cars (S2000, Z3) but was pleasantly surprised with the amount of room in both the Tam and the 350 (not sat in a Sag yet).

Just wondered if there were any other "tallies" in the club....

I am 6'3" and like you found my T350 had a surprising amount of room for such a lanky streak! Ive now moved onto a Sag and pretty much the same although I think slightly thicker seats and padding take a couple of inches away from what I had in the T350 but still fine.

5 foot 4 1/2 - Sagaris and Chimaera 450.

I have the opposite problem if someone has been messing with my steering wheel and moves it up, I can't see over the top

Surprisingly comfortable, especially with the pedal box set as far forward as possible and the seat cushion removed.

6ft 1, t350 as u know lol, well getting it back on fri/sat but previously used to remove the cusion so i was sat lower but on the whole found it quite roomy, and definatly got plenty of leg room

Oh and by the way I'm 6'4" and don't drive anything (TVR) until Thursday Then it's a Tam.

I'm 6'2" but I think about 4' of that must be in my legs, as I have had the seat as far back as it will go in every car I have driven! Often very uncomfortable (knees touching steering wheel, etc).

No problems in the T350 though!

I'm only 184cm but I do find wearing a helmet in a TVR a slight problem with regards to headroom, long body short legged freak, the Cerbera was the worst and the Griff is ok with the roof off but no good with the roof on, I had to buy a new low racing bucket for trackdays, the Sag is ok but not perfect and I find the original Sag seats better than the later cerbera ones.

6'3" and just about fit in the Tam. I bought it without sitting in it with the roof up, luckily the 'roll bar' doesnt cause any problems, just. I too found an s2000 to cramped when driving.

This is where the T350 Targa excels, like the Tamora. I'm 6ft 5 tall.

Taking the cushion out works, but is only really practical on the track as you are a bight too tightly hemmed in (depending on your personal pie count). I had a half thickness seat pad made up by the factory which works a treat for my lankiness.

This pic shows how a helmet affects headroom, I tend to 'tap' it on the roof on trackdays with the roof panels in.

To follow from Marks comment the seat is very comfy with the pad removed and actually holds you in better than standard, though as Targa says it does depend on your pie count as to whether your derrier will fit in the first place! Thats said Mark is quite a thin but lanky bogger!

Just be aware that when testing cars they may have the pedal box set in a standard position. They can be moved but it's not a 5 minute job!

Cheers for that, the Tam I'm getting has Tuscan seats so not sure she will have the same removable pad - Apparently the Tuscan seats sit slightly lower anyway though?

Am a lanky streak anyways so pie count isn't an issue if the seats do have the removable panel.

At just under 6'4" I'm sure she'll be sweet, was fine in a T350C and a Tam with the roof down.

Is the pedal adjustment a dealer job or could I do myself?

The Tuscan seats in my T350c have the removable pads, so I think the Tamora will probably be the same.

6ft 2" In a Tamora, I have no problems with leg room it's head height when the roof is on. I have to have the back rest reclined a lot just to give me a bit more headroom. But my car has non standard Tamora seats (early/prototype sag seats) so this might be a reason. The car left the factory like this!

It's actually fine in terms of comfort although as Zippee kindly pointed out ( btw) I'm reasonably slim and the extra headroom and lateral support is worth it being a bit of a squeeze. That said, it can be a bit awkward on occasssion, particularly if you need to turn around whilst reversing and I'm not sure that I could comfortably wear a helmet for trackdays.

I've found that for optimum support, I've got the seat a couple of notches forward and heavily reclined - the seat supports my back reasonably well and with the steering wheel being reach-adjustable I've managed to find a driving position that works pretty well.
