Really interesting kiosk at the Lego Store in Woodfield Mall, Schaumberg, IL.

It's some sort of realtime CGI overlaid onto a lego box - absolutely astounding!

The 3D data of the product (airplane) are stored in a computer,
which is coupled to a camera behind the (two-way)mirror.
When an object like the airplane box is held in front of the mirror (&camera),
the software detects some tracking codes on the box,and the way the box is held.
Then the product (airplane) data and the position(of the box) data are sent to a projector,
that projects the picture of the airplane on a mirror behind the mirror,
so to the viewer the two pictures (of box and airplane) align.

Thanks benni - I'll have to have a look out for one of those kiosks.

I've seen interactive 3d before that works via breaking sensors ect.. but it intrigued how the animation was fixed to the plane of the box top.
