MAG - Thoughts?
Discussion
Being an XBOX fanboy i havent looked into it too much.. BUT with my PS3 gathering dust i feel i should give it another go as GT5 and the never ending story continue.
So... is it worth getting? will it draw me away from the xbox? Shopto are doing ti for £30 now.
I am dreading the update on the PS3 though.. havent done it in about 18months.. its going to take FOREVER!

i was in the same boat, ive held off, still play mw2 and happy with that to be honest but the hype of mag seems to have died down now as i expected
To be honest the "hype" is dieing down because most fans haven't the time to publicise it as they are too busy playing it!I have a 360 as well as a PS3 and I'm completely addicted to MW2 on the 360. I bought MAG and started to play it over the weekend. It's not as graphically polished as MW2 and I found it difficult to pick out the enemy and shoot accurately but that's because I am used to the 360 controls.
I wouldn't recommend it over the user-friendly MW2 but as an alternative when you fancy something a little different and potentially more involving then get a copy of MAG as well as MW2.

you see thats the thing... im totally and utter bored of the COD scene now... been playing it since COD original and it just seems to be more and more of the same. The more popular it gets the more utter knob jockeys play it! I think i need something different and hopefully this will be the ticket!I wouldn't recommend it over the user-friendly MW2 but as an alternative when you fancy something a little different and potentially more involving then get a copy of MAG as well as MW2.

Try the Battlefield Bad company 2 demo instead of buying MAG.
That was my thought as well. I have MAG downloaded, played it for about 3 hours, it was ok but I just didn't get the buzz.BUT, Battlefield 2:Bad Company Demo - I haven't played MW2 since I first downloaded it - such fun driving tanks around, flying an AH-64, screaming along on a quad bike running down the enemy team . And I have now deleted MAG and AVP demos from my PS3...

But anyway.. its only cost me £15 so ever if i rarely use it... its not exactly the end of the world. i just need something to get the PS3 back in use.. its a shame to have it just sat there waiting for GT5.
