As the title says, does anyone have any recommendations on hotels close to the circuit for a Friday & Saturday night (travel lodge, Premier Inn style etc).

Good to see someone else heading for the Spa 1000Km!! We always stay in the village of Hockai which is 5 minutes from the "Motorway" (Jct 10)& all of 10 mins from the circuit, try the Hotel Beau Site, the owner seems to be the "clearing house" for accom in the village so you may end up staying at the cleaners house!! Check out the Spa circuit website and look under "Info Tourism" & then Francorchamps for details. Will be nicer than a chain motel on an industrial estate!!

Stayed at Hotel La Forge in Malemedy, its only a 10-15 min drive to the track
As we were a party of 3 they put us ina newly decorted apartment next door to the hotel.
Nice & clean & reasonably priced. Didn't eat there as there were some nice local bakers for breakfast & a good few restuarants to choose from in the evening. Malmedy also has few bars & the local Pils isnt bad too. The town was full of race goers & support teams we even had dinner one night with some guys from Michelin.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the info guys, but just been looking to see if i can find an entry list. The only one I can find has no Corvettes racing!!!!!! As much as I love the LMP1's it won't be the same without a Corvette to support. So at the mo not sure whether or not to go.

Sorry to hear you're a bit undecided! Allow me to try & convince you it'll be worth the trip!
1 It's Spa
2 This race seems to be accepted as the Le Mans "shakedown" so expect 45+ cars (IIRC 51 took the start last year)
3 PK & LAA are on the entry list for the 24 Hrs & aren't running their Vettes in the new GT1 World Championship so I reckon at least one if not all 3 cars are odds on to be there, added to which PK are a Belgian team.

Hope this helps!
