E60 M5 -- Diff Issues?

I'm getting a rubbing sound from the rear when I turn right in my M5 but only when cold.

It's not the brakes as I've tried apply a slight amount of handbrake to see if that was the issue.

I can only deduce the Diff and then something to do with the oil perhaps...

Any ideas?

Wheel Bearings perhaps??

Still has 9 months warranty so dealer can sort but would like an idea of what it may be first...

My brother had noise when turning from the diff on his Nov 05 build car. The supplying main dealer changed the diff oil to another spec. There is probably a service note on the new oil. Happened to a number of cars on the M5board.

Standard warranty claim, diff oil drain and change at dealer and all sorted. Had mind done when I had it :-( and now miss it.....

happened on both my m5 and m6. as the poster above said: bmw warranty issue.
